Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Semiautomatic Specialist Operator to support our line leaders. This role involves activities related to Change Overs, quality inspections, machine cleaning, and proactive detection of safety and quality issues. You'll operate one or multiple pieces of production equipment, including moving raw materials to the production line, filling, lifting, and carrying.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive support and demonstrate leadership in Safety and Quality.
  • Comply with safety legal requirements and standards applicable to the area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good conditions of machines and working area before, during, and after shifts.
  • Responsible for the operation, Change Over, and fine adjustments of production on the Semiautomatic Line, specifically the Box Former and/or Box Closer or Case Packer.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
  • Follow quality standards to ensure high-quality products.
  • Contribute to a constant flow of the line, avoiding unexpected downtimes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and other support areas as necessary.
  • Achieve standard hourly production results.
  • Support line operation activities, including Autonomous Maintenance (AM), 5S, Quality Checks, and Line Release Audit.
  • Propose improvements in production processes regarding safety, quality, and operations.
  • Maintain excellent communication with peers, following LEGO values.
  • Ensure regular, reliable, and predictable attendance, and be able to work in a 2-2-3 pattern and overtime when requested.
Requirements
  • Technical education in Mechanics.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably with box former/box closer and case packer machines, and high-speed production lines.
  • Experience with cardboard processing machinery preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
  • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with computers in a manufacturing setting (Easy HMI, electronic settings).
  • Experience with minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50% of the shift.
  • Ability to stand/walk/bend/twist for prolonged periods up to 12 hours/day as needed.
  • Maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Syntegon box former/closer/case packer machines preferred.
