Job Summary
A Decorating Machine operator that maintains a clean and safe work environment, ensures product quality, and supports cup and lid printing operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Visually check quality of print against approved samples (light/dark, off‑center, faded/missing print, shorts, flash, strings, grease).
- Maintain product quality within your zone/machine(s).
- Load product into lid and cup printers.
- Sort through start‑up, pack parts and verify correct count.
- Stir and add ink.
- Clean blankets and plates.
- Change and trim blankets.
- Start/stop printers.
- Clean color heads, rollers and fountains.
- Set up color heads for the next print run.
- Assist decorating technicians with change‑overs.
- Check plates, inks, labels and color standard against traveler.
- Clear unload in‑feed and restacker jams.
- Maintain appropriate speed assigned to each printer.
- Follow all GMPs, Food Safety, and CCPs.
- Maintain paperwork such as audits, downtime logs, etc.
- Apply printed label to box.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or department manager.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- High School diploma, equivalent or on‑the‑job training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with whole numbers.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions; deal with problems.
