Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Material Receiver/Handler to join their team. As a Material Receiver/Handler, you will be an essential part of the logistics and supply chain department supporting production and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Receiver/Handler
Pay rate: $18.00
Location: Richmond, VA
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift
Working hours will be either first shift (7 to 3:30) or second shift (3:00 to 11:30)
What's the Job?- Collect, arrange, and transport material buckets on pallets to their designated areas.
- Move buckets, empty pallets, and scrap to the appropriate disposal or storage zones.
- Supply materials to the "Kanban" area of the production lines to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform material transfers and create electroplating orders within the SAP system.
- Conduct physical inventory counts on production lines and in the warehouse, maintaining accurate records of dispatched materials and transactions in SAP.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in material handling or related roles.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP inventory systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
