What it's like to be a Production Team Member at Ukrop'sAs a Production Team Member, you will perform a variety of basic duties associated with food production and shipping at our Central Bakery. Your responsibilities may include assembling products, baking, icing cakes, mixing, packaging, cutting, cooking, and prepping. You will work closely with team leaders and other associates to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Adhering to food safety guidelines to reduce the chance of contaminating foods.
- Complying with all AIB, SSOP, and GMP guidelines and work rules.
- Following all departmental and production procedures, including certification of Just Foods batch tickets.
- Assembling, sorting, baking, icing, mixing, adding, or slicing uncooked or finished products.
- Operating packaging, cooking, slicing, transitioning, and/or cleaning equipment.
- Inspecting and labeling products.
- Notifying supervisor of quality and potential product risks.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Ensuring SQF system compliance and following HACCP plan, SSOPs, and GMPs.
- Reporting all food safety issues to an immediate supervisor.
- Performing other duties as required.
Education and Experience
- High school degree/equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous food service, manufacturing, or warehouse training/experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a time‑driven atmosphere and follow strict timelines.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules.
- Work performed primarily in a production plant environment.
- Exposure to cold/refrigerated areas.
- Use of commercial bakery equipment and machinery.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and pushing/pulling.
- Manual dexterity and visual/hearing acuity required.
