We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications. This role focuses on efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, including tool changes and offsets
  • Load raw materials and monitor machining processes during production runs
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure tolerance compliance
  • Make minor program edits and adjust machine offsets as needed
  • Identify and replace worn or damaged tooling
  • Maintain consistent production output while ensuring quality standards
  • Troubleshoot basic machining or tooling issues and elevate as needed
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical or vocational training in machining preferred
Experience
  • 2–3 years of CNC lathe or turning experience preferred
  • Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar)
  • Basic computer skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of CNC lathe operations and turning processes
  • Familiarity with tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds for various materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of metals, alloys, and material behavior during machining
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
  • Experience using hoists or overhead cranes to move materials
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Capable of working independently after training
Schedule
  • Standard work week with flexibility for 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs
