About the Opportunity:- The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure manufactured products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, reducing defects, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
- Identify nonconforming material and initiate NCRs as needed.
- Communicate quality issues to production and leadership teams.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and variation.
- Perform random audits to verify process compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or heat exchanger manufacturing.
- Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Experience with NCR documentation and root cause analysis.
- Basic computer/data entry experience (Excel, ERP systems).
- Familiarity with QC processes and documentation.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
- Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
- Ability to document inspection results and communicate findings effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations.
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
