position detailsposition type: contract to direct hire (90 days) pay rate $23.00 per hour job location: richmond, va shift: must be able to work all shifts education - must have a ged or high school diploma driver's license - must have a valid driver's license forklift - must have previous forklift exp. Benefits: paid time off, paid holidays and health benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k and life insurance compensation: $23.00 per hour (day shift) $1.00 shift differential nights and evenings)
responsibilities- perform a variety of duties to receive, distribute, assemble, manufacturing and production or general warehouse duties
- pick and pack according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- inspect products for defects or damages before packing, ensuring products meet safety and quality standards.
- prepare and organize orders for shipment, ensuring that all orders are properly packed and labeled.
- operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools, following safety guidelines.
- assist with receiving and unloading deliveries, checking the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- perform materials receipt, disbursement, and related activities, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
- communicate with team members, warehouse supervisors, and logistics staff to coordinate product flow and resolve any discrepancies.
- adhere to company safety standards and regulations
- assist with inventory control by conducting periodic stock counts and reporting any discrepancies.
- perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the warehouse.
requirements:
- long term standing, bending, and stooping
- able to lift 45lbs
- forklift experience is preferred not required
- hsd or equivalent
- background and drug screen are required
