Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist – 1st Shift at our Oakleys Ct site in Richmond, VA.

The pay rate for this position is 23.80 per hour.

Core hours are 7:00am-3:30pm.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting management as needed to accomplish Eaton’s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products.

In this function you will:

  • Be responsible for root cause analysis on troubled inventory
  • Find lost inventory items
  • Understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems
  • Perform cycle counting as needed
  • Work autonomously without direct supervision
  • Coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to solve various issues
  • Effectively use ERP systems and basic Microsoft applications (Excel)
  • Work cross‑functional across plants
  • Operate forklift and electrical pallet jack as needed
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Required (Basic)

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without our company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with Microsoft applications
Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Solve complex practical problems
  • Manage multiple objectives simultaneously and reassign priorities
  • Deal with a wide variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Lead and work in cross‑functional multi‑cultural teams
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
