Operations Manager - Richmond, VA

Position Title

Operations Manager.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and assembly at our Richmond, VA facility. The role will manage safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance (Hi‑5), implement the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), and excel in Sales Inventory Operations (SIOP) planning.

• Drive Zero Incident Safety Culture through proactive safety observation, structured problem‑solving, and MESH deployment.
• Achieve Hi‑5 performance expectations for manufacturing and production areas (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory) and financial performance expectations (sales, profitability, costs).
• Ensure proactive quality strategy using EQMS, ISO 9001 adherence, countermeasure programs, and other quality processes.
• Foster continuous improvement mindset through CIF initiatives, cost‑out projects, manufacturing engineering events, standards of work, structured problem‑solving, and continuous improvement executables.
• Lead a diverse multifunctional team of manufacturing and assembly employees, supervisors, managers, engineers, and planners, providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership.
• Champion employee listening, feedback, inclusion activities, community programs, communication excellence, change management, and employee engagement to make Eaton an employer of choice.

• High School or GED (minimum).
• Minimum seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Bachelor’s degree (engineering, supply chain management, business administration) from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of experience in operations management, supply chain management, continuous improvement, or manufacturing engineering in an Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) environment.
• 7+ years of experience working with ERP/MRP material systems.

Annual salary range: $113,000 – $165,000. Salary is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
