This position reports to:
Test Operations Manager. The work model for the role is:
Onsite, Richmond, VA.
In this role as a Test Supervisor, you will lead a team within a production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost‑effective manner. You will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also organize and allocate resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
- Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
- Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.
- Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
- Bachelor degree in technical field (preferred) PLUS minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience OR Associate degree PLUS 5 years related experience OR High School Diploma PLUS minimum 7 years of related experience.
- Experience in leading teams in a manufacturing or electrical environment, a plus.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of electrical equipment and the industry, preferred.
- Experience with SAP, a plus.
- This position is primarily assigned to an off‑shift; however, flexibility is required to temporarily train on and work other shifts.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Choice between two medical plan options: A PPO plan called the Copay Plan or a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) called the High Deductible Plan.

Core and Core Plus. - Vision benefit.
- Company paid life insurance (2X base pay).
- Company paid AD&D (1X base pay).
- Voluntary life and AD&D – 100% employee paid up to maximums.
- Short Term Disability – up to 26 weeks – Company paid.
- Long Term Disability – 60% of pay – Company paid. Ability to “buy‑up” to 66 2/3% of pay.
