Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Inventory Clerk – 1st Shift in Richmond, VA.
Pay: $21.63 per hour. Core hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do- The Inventory Clerk is responsible for inventory process control and resolution as needed to accomplish Eaton’s overall objectives of providing on‑time delivery of quality products.
- Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company’s policies and performance/productivity levels.
- Systematically inspect materials to ensure accurate order fulfillment and production readiness.
- Review production schedules and generate pick lists for Material Handlers.
- Audit material movement and prior day stow activity to monitor productivity and ensure SAP accuracy.
- Perform cycle counts, identify discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP, and drive resolution.
- Research lost or misplaced material by reviewing SAP transaction history and correcting bin allocations and errors.
- Monitor transfer log requests, partner with Material Handlers to fulfill requests, and communicate transferred materials to receiving buildings.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with team leads, inventory teams, and production lines to resolve material and inventory issues.
- Maintain and update inventory records within MRP systems.
- Develop, document, and improve inventory management procedures.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as required.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Minimum of two years of experience in inventory control.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Forklift experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
High School/GED
