R Chemical Operator (Open) – Richmond, VA

Seppic, a subsidiary of Air Liquide, specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of ingredients for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and veterinary products. Primary Responsibilities
  • Follow batch records and instructions per Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Operate and support manufacturing equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Perform equipment cleaning as approved
  • Collect in‑process samples and conduct analysis
  • Understand manufacturing processes and equipment operation
  • Monitor equipment performance during batch processing
  • Identify and report deviations to management
  • Participate in near‑miss incident reporting
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and communicate equipment concerns to maintenance
  • Suggest process improvements and engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S
  • Collaborate on root‑cause investigations and other team duties as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical school diploma preferred
  • Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing processes
  • Good knowledge of industrial safety practices and basic math skills
  • Understanding of Good Documentation and Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical drawings
  • Computer literacy and company software proficiency
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift license
  • Self‑starter, motivated, and committed to safety and quality
