What You'll DoAs a Tester / Production Operator, you'll play a critical role in building products that support industries around the world.
Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:- Operating production equipment, machines, and overhead cranes safely
- Loading and unloading metal plates, components, and finished products
- Utilizing touchscreen computer systems to access work instructions and update production information
- Setting up and monitoring equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production
- Reading blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing instructions
- Inspecting products to ensure they meet strict quality standards
- Troubleshooting minor production or equipment issues
- Supporting shipping, warehouse, and production functions as needed
- Participating in process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining organized workstations through 5S practices
- Collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Warehouse teams to keep production moving efficiently
We're seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and take pride in producing quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:- 2–3 years of manufacturing experience operating machines, equipment, or production systems
- Experience using hand and power tools in a production or assembly environment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings
- Experience with machine operation and assembly processes
- Comfortable working with computers and touchscreen production systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain compliance with safety requirements
- Mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly
- Maintenance or quality assurance
- Shipping and warehouse operations
- Overhead crane operation
- Continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
- Production support functions
- Material handling and logistics
- Cross-functional manufacturing environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, VA.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
