Production Planner​/Buyer

Prospect Blue is partnering with a well-established, stable, and growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced Production Planner/Buyer to join their operations team.

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring materials, schedules, and resources are aligned to meet customer demand while driving on-time delivery and operational efficiency.

• Develop and manage production schedules to maximize efficiency and meet customer deadlines
• Purchase raw materials to support production and inventory requirements
• Manage production orders, work orders, and the master production schedule within the ERP system
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory transactions
• Coordinate with production, sales, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations
• Process customer orders, change orders, and expedite requests
• Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production data
• Participate in production planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

• 5+ years of production planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment (10+ years preferred)
• Experience purchasing raw materials for manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, inventory control, work orders, BOMs, and production routing
• ERP experience and strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
• APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification is a plus—the company supports ongoing professional development
