Position: 11167H - Operations Associate II (Hourly)

Job Summary

Merit Medical is a leader in disposable medical devices focused on cardiology, radiology, oncology, critical care, and endoscopy. We are looking for a Production Team Member to assemble medical products, operate equipment, and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of testing equipment required for product and process testing.
  • Review routers to determine optimal line balance.
  • Operate and understand the consolidation process.
  • Operate a sealer.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Adjust processes within validated ranges to achieve targeted results.
  • Assemble medical products on an assembly operation, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis.
  • Perform on‑line and in‑process visual inspection of products to ensure specifications per work order and procedure are followed.
  • Ensure product assembled meets quality standards.
  • Reject product outside of specifications.
  • Pick and verify orders for accuracy.
  • Prepare shipments including labels.
  • Perform the basic boxing procedures.
  • Adhere to safety standards.
  • Working overtime may be required for this position.
  • Perform other tasks, as required.
  • Physical & Environmental Demands
    • Lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.
    • Writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual acuity, color perception, depth perception, reading, field of vision/peripheral.
    • Fine motor skills, noise, chemical vapors, soldering fumes.
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent and six months of relevant work experience.
    • Demonstrates competency and ability to rotate in specific assembly lines.
    • Ability to meet line rate expectations.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in checking information.
    • Ability to recognize, identify, and distinguish between different medical products by appearance.
    • Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
    • Knowledge of basic math and ability to apply it in work situations.
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to work as a team member.
    • Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.
    • Dependability in coming to work on time and meeting company attendance guidelines.
    • Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
    • Ability to operate testing equipment.
    • Must be sealer certified.
    • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software programs.
    • Must achieve certification in Production, Boxing, Warehouse, and Sealing within 90 days of time in position.
