We are seeking a skilled Senior Level CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced with Haas machining centers, familiar with Fanuc controls, capable of operating both CNC mills and lathes, and is proficient with manual machining equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude to ensure high-quality, efficient production in a collaborative shop environment.
Hours:Mon - Thurs - 7:00 am - 5:30 pm - off on Friday
EssentialJob Duties & Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Set up and operate CNC machining centers to produce precision parts per specifications.
- Select proper tooling and fixtures; perform tool offsets and adjustments for optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts to maintain quality standards.
- Proficiency using measurement instruments, including but not limited to micrometers and calipers.
- Maintain machines and work areas, performing preventive maintenance and reporting issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve workflow.
- Contribute to a positive, team-driven environment, promoting communication and problem-solving across shifts and departments.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience, operating both CNC mills and lathes, preferably with Haas machining centers.
- Proficient in operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other standard machine shop equipment.
- Proficient in programming and reading G-Code.
- Ability to edit and troubleshoot existing CNC programs.
- Experience in a custom manufacturing, prototype, or low-volume/high-mix machining environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, tooling, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T symbols.
- Complete quality documentation and inspection records as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet production deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and shop safety standards.
- Forklift and hoist operation and general shop safety training.
- General mechanical aptitude and machine repair experience.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to safely operate machinery and material-handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
