Laser Machine Operator

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Laser Machine Operator to join their team. As a Laser Machine Operator, you will be part of the fabrication department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Laser Machine Operator

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $20- $24

Shift: 6 am – 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for some Saturdays and overtime

What's the Job?

• Operate fabricating machines such as laser cutters, press brakes, and other machinery to cut, shape, and bend metal plates
• Read job specifications and adjust machines accordingly to meet production requirements
• Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Move parts manually or with equipment like forklifts, and secure parts for processing
• Ensure quality standards by inspecting parts and preparing materials for subsequent production stages

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1-3 years of experience operating heavy fabrication machinery
• Ability to read measurements and drawings, including tape measures and sketches
• Comfortable handling parts weighing up to 35 pounds unassisted and operating forklifts
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow safety procedures and wear PPE
