Overall Goal of Position:

The first shift supervisor leads and coordinates first shift production operations by ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. They maximize operational performance, minimize downtime, develop team members, and support the achievement of company goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the daily activities of all team members in the production department. The successful candidate will be able toperformjob hazard analysis withassistanceof theEHSLeader and Operations Manager. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager

Minimizinglinedowntime,increasing efficiency, managing employeeabsencesand performance issue swill be among the pillars for success.

The Production Supervisor will execute special projects,initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, and support factory operations. Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building ofthe Sauer Brands Recipe.

Reports to the Operations Manager.

Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment by promoting, enforcing, and modeling compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and direct daily production team activities to achieve operational objectives.
  • Minimize production line downtime and drive continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage employee attendance, performance, accountability, and development.
  • Support overall factory operations and ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Execute assigned projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture aligned with the Sauer Brands Recipe and organizational values.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or production experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership/lead or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, safe work practices, and workplace hazard identification.
  • Experience managing employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to support business operations.
