CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT | LEAN MANUFACTURING | VALUE STREAM OPTIMIZATION

The TRG Growth Practice is excited to be partnering with a growing manufacturing client to identify an Industrial Engineer for a key operation in the Richmond, Virginia area.

This is a unique opportunity to join a stable organization experiencing exciting growth and play a highly visible role in designing, implementing, and improving dedicated production cells and value streams.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on Industrial Engineer who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor and working directly with operators and production leadership to solve problems. You’ll have the opportunity to develop line balances and staffing models, optimize facility and value stream layouts, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help build processes that support significant business growth. This position will also serve as an important link between engineering and production, identifying opportunities to improve manufacturability, efficiency, quality, and overall flow.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering fundamentals, including work measurement, line balancing, capacity planning, and production flow
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Working knowledge of 2D CAD software for manufacturing layout development
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, engineering, and plant leadership
  • Hands‑on, action‑oriented approach with a passion for engaging employees and improving the production environment
