CNC Machine Operator
Machine Operation:
Operate 3-axis vertical CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
Setup and Programming:
Set up CNC machines, including raw material preparation, loading materials, machining tool setups, inputting programs, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate production.
Quality Control:
Inspect CNC programs and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This will include the use of precision measuring tools.
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Experience:
Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment or technical/vocational school graduation with a manufacturing focus is preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, strong understanding in the use of hand tools and precise measuring tools, CAD/CAM familiarity and CNC machine operation and maintenance. - Attention to Detail:
Strong focus on accuracy and quality in production. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes. - Physical Stamina:
Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation - Strong time management and organization.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
- Forklift Certified preferred.
Work Environment or Physical Demands
- Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving materials upwards of 60 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and machinery.
- Bending, stooping, and reaching to access machine components and materials.
