Job Description Would you like to be the subject matter expert for Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement of the LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) system at the new manufacturing site in Virginia? Job Description Partnering with manufacturing leadership and cross-functional teams, the Senior LCI Specialist establishes and sustains Lean management systems, embeds continuous improvement behaviors, and drives the adoption of global LCI standards to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) performance.
Leverages Lean methodologies, operational analytics, and business intelligence tools to identify improvement opportunities, support data-driven decision making, and measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives. The role influences leaders and teams across multiple business functions without direct people management responsibility, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Planning, and other stakeholders to build organizational capability, drive sustainable process improvements, and mature the site's Lean Management System.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with manufacturing leadership to develop and deploy Continuous Improvement strategies aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain the site Continuous Improvement roadmap, prioritizing strategic initiatives that support operational maturity, business objectives, and long-term manufacturing performance.
- Establish, implement, and sustain Lean Management Systems that support operational excellence across LEGO Manufacturing Virginia.
- Conduct periodic Lean Management System maturity assessments, audits, and health checks to ensure standards are sustained, continuously improved, and aligned with global LEGO Continuous Improvement expectations.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Value Stream Mapping workshops, A3 problem solving, and other Lean improvement activities.
- Build organizational capability by designing, coordinating, and facilitating Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement learning programs.
- Conduct capability assessments to identify development opportunities for leaders and employees.
- Train, coach, and mentor leaders, supervisors, and employees in Lean principles, Daily Management, problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Develop internal capability to independently lead Continuous Improvement projects, Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and structured problem‑solving activities.
- Leverage operational analytics, business intelligence tools, and digital technologies to identify trends, prioritize improvement opportunities, and provide actionable insights that support data‑driven decision making.
- Develop and continuously improve dashboards, automated reporting, and performance visualization tools using Microsoft Power BI and other digital solutions to enhance operational transparency and reporting efficiency.
- Promote standardized metrics, reporting governance, and data integrity to ensure consistent performance measurement and alignment across functions while supporting the sustainability of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Measure, validate, and communicate the business impact of Continuous Improvement initiatives through operational performance improvements, productivity gains, cost savings, quality enhancements, delivery performance, and organizational capability development.
- Support the evolution and governance of the LEGO Manufacturing Virginia Continuous Improvement Management System, ensuring alignment with global standards and business objectives.
