Overview
Reveille UMC in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a Director of Youth Ministries to plan, coordinate, and lead ministries for and with youth (grades 6-12) and their families, including weekly Sunday morning and afternoon programs, special activities, and annual mission trips. The Director of Youth Ministries works closely with other staff and church leaders to facilitate an integrated approach to youth ministry.
This position directly supports Reveille’s vision to welcome all people to follow Jesus Christ and serve together as a hub of faith, hope, and action.
Candidates should have at least two years of leadership experience with youth ministries or programs. Experience in local church ministry is preferred. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and familiarity with United Methodist theology are required. Skill with recruiting, leading, and empowering teams is essential. Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills are required, including the use of online communications platforms and ministry management tools.
A successful background check is required prior to hire.
