Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Of Development

Fahrenheit Advisors is assisting our client, Comfort Zone Camp, as they find a Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of Development, based in Richmond, VA.

Work location is 6606 W Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23230.

Comfort Zone Camp (CZC) is a mission-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

The Opportunity

As an essential member of the Comfort Zone Camp team, this individual is responsible for the overall management of the Mid Atlantic Development team and all fundraising activities. The Mid Atlantic Regional Director of Development is part of the Senior Management Team.

What You'll Do
  • Fundraise from diverse sources, including private foundations, individuals, and companies to achieve annual revenue goals
  • Oversee and support grant prospecting, writing and reporting
  • Create and manage all appeals, annual reports and proposals
  • Make and execute donor stewardship plans
  • Manage and develop fundraising events, monthly giving and leadership giving
  • Work with the CEO to set and achieve goals
  • Manage a personal portfolio of donors to develop increased giving
  • Execute and manage all aspects of current Mid Atlantic fundraising events and identify new opportunities
  • Manage Mid Atlantic Development team
  • Oversee VA RAC (Regional Advisory Council)
  • Support NC RAC
  • Other projects and activities as needed
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of fundraising experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience working with organizations with annual revenue of at least 3.0 million+
  • Demonstrated fundraising track record including major gifts, grants, events, large fundraising events and appeals
  • Demonstrated writing and marketing skills
  • Experience with managing staff
  • Exceptional logistical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong Donor Database experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and fun environment
