Exciting Field Organizing Opportunities in Support of Environmental Champions

Field Organizers and Remote Organizers

Location:

Seeking Field Organizers and remote organizers to recruit, train, and build relationships with environmental members in:
Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and WI. Field Organizers will recruit, train and empower volunteers to build support for environmental champions through phone calls and digital organizing tools, including peer-to-peer texting and other in-person and virtual volunteer activities. Field Organizers will work alongside a team of organizers and a Regional Field Director on the project and will be based out of a campaign office in the one of the following cities:
Phoenix or Tuscon, AZ;
Atlanta, GA;
Des Moines, IA;
Portland or Bangor, Maine;
Kalamazoo or Lansing, MI;
Manchester or Portsmouth/Seacoast, NH;
Hempsted or Long Beach, NY;
Charlotte or Raleigh, NC;
Columbus, OH;
Harrisburg, PA;
Richmond, Henrico or Virginia Beach, VA; and La Crosse or Eau Claire, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize digital tools and databases including, phone banking, text banking and 1:1 meetings to recruit, mobilize and train a diverse group of volunteers statewide to make phone calls, send texts and write letters to elect endorsed candidates.
• Track all volunteer outreach and engagement in VAN and submit daily reports.
• Plan and execute organizing actions, events and trainings, including phone banks, text banks, virtual volunteer meetings and letter writing events.
• Develop relationships with partners and other progressive leaders in the community and work with them on events and activities.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Successful experience working with teams representing a rich mix of talent, backgrounds and perspectives.
• 1+ cycles of electoral campaign experience, community, issue, labor or political organizing, a plus.
• Fluency in VAN, Microsoft Office Suite; other field and digital tools, a plus.
• Experience or residency in program states, a plus.

Work hours vary from standard office hours and include Saturdays. Laptop and reliable internet a must.

Compensation:
This position is salaried and monthly salary is $3,475. In addition to a monthly salary, healthcare is offered as well as a $700 signing bonus to be paid at the end of each month employed, and a $300 month stipend for cell/internet and transportation. At the end of their commitment, organizers will have access to career coaching services from NRG Consulting Group, which includes a 1:1 meeting with the career coach and three group coaching sessions.

Duration:
This position is full-time, salaried and temporary through November 13, 2026.
