Position Summary
The Development Assistant is a full-time position supporting the organization’s fundraising, donor relations, and communications efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, this role plays a pivotal part in advancing the Center’s mission through accurate donor data management, event coordination, campaign support, and administrative execution.

- CRM Oversight and Online Giving & Mailings: Process all gifts, prepare donor acknowledgments, document donor correspondence, and track grant applications in CRM software. Ensure records are complete and accurate. Manage the online giving portal and collaborate with communications staff to compile mailing lists, track digital campaigns, and analyze results.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Manage and lead weekly/monthly Development Dashboard reporting to track fundraising progress, retention, and growth metrics.
- Financial Reconciliation: Work with the Development Director and bookkeeper to ensure accurate weekly and monthly reconciliations, providing data for the annual audit and Form 990.

- Assist in the planning and execution of general fundraising initiatives, special projects, and capital campaign launches.
- Assist with basic prospect research and support the writing and tracking of grant applications.
- Manage the coordination of the in‑kind gift and wish list programs, including solicitation, processing, organizing, and distribution.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Help plan and execute fundraising and stewardship events, managing logistics, vendor coordination, guest lists, and on‑site support.
- Assist with post‑event reporting, financial tracking, and attendee follow‑up.
- Work occasional evening or weekend hours for events, scheduled with advance notice.
- Assist with development‑related communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, appeal letters, and social media content.
- Help prepare marketing collateral, briefings, presentations, and stewardship reports for leadership and donors.
