CARITAS seeks a mission-driven, strategic, and detail-oriented Annual Fund Manager to support and grow the organization's annual giving program. The Annual Fund Manager will be responsible for planning and executing aspects of the annual fund to support the mission of CARITAS: to create a safe space to heal and time to rebuild for people experiencing homelessness and/or substance use disorder.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual Fund Strategy & Execution
- Work with the Director of Development to execute a comprehensive annual fund strategy, consisting of direct mail, digital communications, special events, and donor stewardship.
- Monitor annual fund goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Chief Advancement Officer to identify major annual fund prospects.
Annual Fund Strategy & Execution

- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Chief Advancement Officer to identify major annual fund prospects.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Responsible for timely gift processing and donor acknowledgements.
- Maintain a portfolio of annual fund donors and prospects (particularly new donors and monthly donors), ensuring timely touchpoints and follow up.
- Provide support for department meetings and building tours by coordinating, scheduling, space reservation, materials, and follow-up.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising (including our signature annual fundraiser) and donor engagement events, including logistics, vendor relations, volunteer coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate donor recognition efforts, including impact reports, gratitude touchpoints, and special recognition.
Data Management
- Utilize the Donor Perfect database to track trends, engagement, and outcomes.
- Generate regular reports on annual fund performance for the development committee and board of directors.
- Analyze data to modify, inform, or change annual fund strategies.
- Maintain system policies and procedures that promote quality donor data and data integrity.
Required Qualifications:
- An interest and desire to work in human services, particularly in our mission areasof homelessness and substance use disorder.
- Bachelor's Degree and between 2-4 years of experience in development or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Proficiency in data collection, list maintenance, and data analysis.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
$57,000 - $65,000 / year
