Pay Range: $48.44 to $70.50/hour (based on experience)

A leading acute care hospital in the Richmond, VA region is seeking an experienced RN Manager for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This key leadership role oversees pre-admission testing, same-day surgery, PACU, and endoscopy areas, ensuring exceptional care standards and operational efficiency across the perioperative service line.
The ideal candidate is a strong nurse leader with extensive perioperative experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to fostering excellence in patient safety, staff engagement, and service quality.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of Pre-Op, PACU, PAT, and Endoscopy units
- Manage staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and quality initiatives
- Develop and mentor clinical staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and supply management
- Drive compliance with all hospital, state, and accreditation standards
- Lead process improvement and patient experience initiatives
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical teams to enhance throughput and outcomes
- Support budget planning, data analysis, and operational reporting
Required:
- Active RN license (Virginia or Compact state)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN or higher preferred
- Leadership or charge nurse experience in a surgical setting
- Current BLS (required); ACLS and PALS (preferred)
- Pay up to $70.50/hour (commensurate with experience)
