Position: Clinical Coordinator (RN) - Comprehensive Liver Care Unit - Intermediate Care - Rotating

Join Us in Building the Future of Healthcare! We are opening a Comprehensive Liver Care Unit - Intermediate Care. This 24-bed unit provides both Intermediate and Acute Care beds, focusing on Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology populations with critical care needs. Provider coverage is 24/7 in-house.

  • Specialization:
    Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology populations with critical care needs
  • Patient care ratios: 1:3 and 1:4 depending on patient complexity
  • Provider coverage: 24/7 in-house coverage

Program Growth: Our Liver Transplant program has seen remarkable growth, with 205 liver transplants in 2023.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Continued Employment
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Experience
  • Required:

    Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience
  • Charge Nurse experience or supervisory experience
Experience (Preferred)
  • Academic Health Care experience
  • Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or applicable to area of practice
Education/Training
  • Required:

    Diploma or Associate Degree from a professional nursing program recognized/approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing
  • All registered nurses without a Bachelor’s degree will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of start and complete within five years
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Nursing;
    Certification in specialty area
