Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU RN - Travel Nurse at Total Med – Richmond, VA.
We are looking for RN nurses with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience for an immediate travel nurse opening in the NICU.
Responsibilities- Care for infants transitioning to extrauterine life.
- Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
- Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment (incubators, ventilators).
- BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications.
- 5 years of RN experience.
- Acute care experience.
- Travel nurse eligibility.
Be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop without difficulty, and lift 10–20 pounds of equipment. Possible exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
