RN​/LPN Private Duty One-on-One

Job Description

American Critical Care Services is currently seeking Part-Time to Full-Time experienced LPNs or RNs for Private Duty one-on-one care in Richmond.

The ideal candidate will possess 1+ year of nursing experience with at least 6-months experience with a G-tube and/or Trach experience. Ventilator experience is a plus although we may train the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE LPN / RN:

• 1+ year of nursing experience
• 6+ months of G-tube/peg tube experience
• 6+ months of Trach experience
• 6+ months of Vent experience (may train the right candidate)
• Current Nursing License valid in Virginia
• Great communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Clear background check and drug screen

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LPN / RN:

• Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
• Observe client, take vital assessments and record client symptoms onto daily progress notes.
• Administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's order and record.
• Inspect the home and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
• Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending bi-annual skills lab.
