Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Sitter-Barfoot Veterans Care

Hiring Range: $42.00 per hour

Pay Band: 3

Agency: Dept of Veterans Services

• 7AM - 3:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• 3PM - 11:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• 3PM - 11:30PM every Tuesday & Thursday

• Administer medications and treatments accurately for assigned residents.
• Consult with physicians; receive, record, and implement orders and schedule appointments.
• Document residents’ health changes via acute care nurse’s notes and shift change nursing reports.
• Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepare all required reports and documentation.
• Conduct daily rounds; observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and take necessary actions to ensure their health and well‑being.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care; consult with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Licensed as a Practical Nurse in Virginia.

Additional Considerations: Nursing experience in a long‑term care or adult geriatric setting.

Part‑time wage employees are not eligible for benefits and hours are limited to 1,500 hours per year (May 1 – April 30).

All employees required to be vaccinated against COVID‑19 or provide a medical or sincerely held religious exemption.
