Overview
The Medical Respiratory Intensive Care Unit is a 28–bed unit specializing in the care of patients with multisystem organ failure and complex pulmonary needs. Our patients include various respiratory disorders and failures, such as COPD, ARDS, status asthmatic us, and pneumonia. The latest advances in care delivery are given to patients with sepsis, GI bleeds, DKA, oncological issues, acute kidney and liver dysfunction, and acid–base and metabolic imbalances.
Through true collaboration with the interprofessional team, MRICU nurses translate evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and research into bedside clinical practice, leading the way to advancing safe and quality care for all patients.
