Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location:
Richmond, VA
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
19:00 - 07:00
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our Maternal Infant Unit. This position involves providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery, as well as postpartum and newborn care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide care to laboring patients on a 1:1 basis.
- Care for postpartum patients at a ratio of 5-6:1.
- Provide care for newborns at a ratio of 5-6:1.
- Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and support antepartum patients.
- Utilize GE fetal monitors and Meditech EMR systems.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of labor experience is required.
- Preferred: 2+ years of labor experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes.
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
