Overview

Weekend Wound Care Nurse (Part‑time). Shift options: WEEKENDS ONLY – 7 AM‑3 PM, 3 PM‑11 PM, or 11 PM‑7 AM. Rate: $39–$42 an hour, all inclusive; $1.50 shift differential for evenings. Same‑day pay available.
Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center (190‑bed Sub‑Acute and Long‑Term Care facility) values passion, respect, and excellence. Effective wound management promotes healing, prevents complications, and improves resident quality of life. The nurse will provide skilled clinical care, assessment, and treatment of wounds while supporting interdisciplinary care planning and ensuring compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident care in accordance with nursing standards, physician orders, and care plans.
  • Use clinical judgment to assess, treat, and monitor wounds.
  • Administer wound care treatments based on resident needs and best practices.
  • Deliver respectful, compassionate, person‑centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
  • Offer clinical guidance to nursing and care team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Ensure resident confidentiality per HIPAA and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered active LPN or RN license in Virginia.
  • Wound care certification preferred but not required.
  • Valid BLS certification (CPR) required.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a wound care nurse in a nursing home or long‑term care setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
