Clinical Instructor, Nursing (RN) – Part‑time;
Trainer and Instructor III, 29113‑SW FLSA Nonexempt

Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke, VA

Pay range: $28.94/hr – $43.94/hr.

Hours:

9‑12 hours per week, scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

• Provide clinical instruction for the Registered Nursing Program in Long Term Care, Pediatric, Mother‑baby, and Medical/Surgical courses.
• Attend and prepare for course sessions, maintaining currency in nursing practice and education trends.
• Assist institutional needs and respond to emergency assignments as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate’s degree with current BSN enrollment.
• Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience, strong clinical background.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing and prior teaching experience in pre‑licensure RN program.
• Preferred:
  Mother‑baby, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatric practice experience.
