Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department

Job Overview

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Richmond, Virginia. This position is a 13‑week assignment starting 08/03/2026, consisting of 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

• Appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions in a fast‑paced emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, provide IV therapy, maintain supplies and medical equipment, and report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 1–2 years of recent acute‑care experience.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH, PALS (minimum 2 years).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong stress‑coping skills and ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.
