Certified Nurse Aide - Evening Shift

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide.

CNAs are expected to perform the following duties:

• Assist with meals and escorts residents to the dining hall.
• Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously.
• Complete all required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting assessments.
• Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record.
• Monitor and observe residents' physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living (ADL's).
• Physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.

Additional Considerations:

• Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.

SBVCC is a healthcare organization and must comply with the federal CMS Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care staff Vaccination Regulation; requiring all employees to be vaccinated or receive an exemption as a condition of employment.
