Company Description Infusion Solutions provides patients with access to state-of-the-art Ambulatory Infusion Suites for a wide range of intravenous (IV) therapies. The suites are designed to be high-tech, secure, and comfortable, creating an optimal environment for safe and efficient IV administration. Role Description The Infusion Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Richmond Region. This position is responsible for administering IV therapies in ambulatory infusion suites, including patient assessment, vascular access management, infusion initiation, monitoring, and post-infusion evaluation. The Infusion Nurse collaborates with prescribing clinicians and the broader care team to confirm orders, verify treatment protocols, and communicate patient status and concerns.

Daily tasks include documenting care in the medical record, educating patients and families on therapies and potential side effects, and reinforcing safety and infection control standards. The Infusion Nurse also participates in quality improvement efforts, supports workflow efficiency in the suites, and helps maintain a calm, professional, and compassionate environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Medicine relevant to infusion therapy.
  • Experience with Home Infusion and Direct Patient Care in acute or ambulatory settings.
  • Background in Critical Care Medicine or other high-acuity care environments is preferred.
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Infusion or oncology nursing certification (e.g., CRNI, OCN) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in IV insertion, vascular access device management, and infusion pump operation.
  • Excellent assessment, clinical judgment, and patient education skills.
  • Commitment to infection prevention, medication safety, and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a patient-centered and culturally sensitive approach.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Greater Richmond Region, including occasional flexible scheduling as needed.
