    Varies based on census
  • Day Shift – 1 CNC or Charge, 5-10 RNs, 1 US or PCT (all dependent on census)
  • Night Shift – Same without US
  • Patient Ratios – 1:1 – 1:4
  • Type of equipment – Giraffe isolettes, Medfusion 3500 syringe pumps, Baxter Sigma Spetrum infusion pumps, Servo-I ventilator, Care Fusion Sensor Medics Oscillator, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, GE Bili Spot Light, Arctic Sun Hypothermia, GE Cardiac Monitor
  • EMR – Meditech
Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have
: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • Previous Level III NICU Experience
  • Central Line Maintenance (PICC/UVC/UAC)
  • Intubated/Vented Patients
  • Bubble CPAP/NIPPV
  • Experience with Gestational Age as low as 23 weeks
  • IV Drips

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • High Frequency JET/Oscillator Vent
  • Post-Op GTube
  • Delivery Experience (Not Required)
  • Admission/Discharge Experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
  • Assist with Circumcisions
  • NGT Placement
  • IV Start
  • Lab Draws (Heel Stick/Arterial Draw)
  • Medication Administration (IV/PO/SubQ)
  • ECG
  • Assist with UGI/Barium Enema/MRI/HUS/etc.

  • BLS
  • NRP
Floating Area(s):
  • Mother-Infant Unit (Only Take Well Babies, No Moms)
  • Can Float to Pediatrics and PICU if Desired but Not Required
Dress Code
  • Scrub Color/Attire – Navy (We also have hospital provided ceil blue scrubs if preferred)
Unit Guidelines/Policies

Huddle at 0700/1900 followed by bedside report. Must clock out for 30-minute lunch unless noted in Kronos log. Must notify unit 2 hours prior to start of shift for call out.

Weekends and On call (if any):

Schedule is done per director to fill unit needs. Traveler preferences considered. No on call requirements.

7:00AM - 7:00PM or 7:00PM - 7:00AM
