This PCU travel nurse job in Richmond, Virginia, with Advantis Medical is a 13-week Travel PCU Registered Nurse (RN) contract at CJW Medical Center Chippenham Hospital. This role pays $2,201 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule. In this PCU travel nursing job, you will provide progressive care in a hospital setting, assess and monitor patient conditions, support urgent interventions, document care accurately, and collaborate with physicians and the clinical care team during fast-moving patient situations.

Manage higher-acuity patients stepping down from intensive care who require close monitoring

Monitor continuous telemetry and hemodynamic status, recognizing and escalating changes promptly

Administer medications and IV therapy, including titratable drips approved for the unit, per facility protocol

Care for patients on high-flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation when assigned

2+ years of recent PCU experience.

Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Virginia and national regulatory bodies.

Chippenham Hospital is a 466-bed acute-care hospital on Richmond's Southside and a major trauma and cardiovascular center for central Virginia.

Virginia-designated Level I Trauma Center and a Level I Burn Center

Certified Primary Stroke Center

Cardiovascular care through the Levinson Heart Institute, including a cardiovascular ICU and chest-pain/heart-attack services

Behavioral health, orthopedics and joint care, and robotic surgery
