Nurse Clinician - Comprehensive Liver Care Unit - Intermediate Care

Join our innovative 24-bed Intermediate and Acute Care unit specializing in Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology patients with complex care needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Clinician to provide advanced clinical expertise, lead quality initiatives, and support professional development within a highly specialized and collaborative environment.

• Brand-new 24-bed unit with Intermediate and Acute Care beds
• Specialized focus on Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology populations
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 and 1:4 based on patient acuity
• 24/7 in-house provider coverage for continuous clinical support

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for complex patients
• Serve as a clinical leader, educator, and mentor for nursing staff
• Lead program development, implementation, and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional patient outcomes
• Support evidence-based practice, staff development, and resource management

Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state

Current RN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent

5 years nursing experience required

Minimum of one year experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting

Experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptorship, in-services education, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program at the time of application and must be complete within 36 months of hire. Special consideration will be given for applicants enrolled in Baccalaureate to Doctoral programs who will not attain a Master’s degree and may require longer than 36 months to complete the terminal degree.

Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field. If the master’s degree is not in Nursing, then it is required to have a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

Has full authority and accountability for direction and leadership of program planning, guideline development, setting of practice standards within the confines of organizations/divisions/units mission, goals and objectives. Manages human, fiscal and other resources to ensure quality programs/processes/services with measurable positive outcomes.

Negotiable with immediate supervisor in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.

Will generally work day shift, but may require flexibility for special projects or to meet organization and staff needs.

As appropriate based on unit assignment.

$78,250.00 - $ Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
