OverviewJob Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Department – St. Mary’s Hospital. The ER RN is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients while contributing to a safe, therapeutic environment within a fast-paced, interprofessional team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team focused on achieving the best individual patient and population outcomes.
- Evaluate, update and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Serve as point of contact for patients care coordination throughout hospital departments.
- Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma.
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). BLS and/or ACLS and PALS (PALS required for pediatric care; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire). ACLS/PALS are preferred at hire or must be obtained within the specified timeframe.
- Experience: One (1) year of professional RN experience. Recent ED or Critical Care experience preferred, but not required.
- Training: EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
Minimum: $34.33 per hour;
Maximum: $44.63 per hour.
