Position: INTERDISCIPLINARY NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will review medical documentation submitted for waiver consideration.
* You will use the experience and knowledge gained by direct patient care to review the medical waiver packages of applicants (patients) to determine suitability for Naval service.
* You will coordinate, discuss, and respond to waiver request cases with a variety of authorized military and civilian medical professionals, administrative clients and program managers.
* You will record brief, coherent notes in the currently used document management system, summarizing relevant medical information as they pertain to the applicant's case, the relevant program, and the waiver recommendations.
* You will assist in the operation of the Medical Review Authority Division (N33), at the Division Director's discretion. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current National Council Licensure license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Possessing a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States;
2) Possessing knowledge in current and thorough medical skills, procedures, processes, and methodologies;
3) Reviewing medical records and evaluating the available data to make a determination of fitness for military service;
4) Applying the principles of physical risk classification to actual medical conditions and cases; and
5) Using the computer and widely-used types of computer software. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
