Position: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

$1836.00/week -

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for Labor and Delivery units to provide higher-level maternal care in a dynamic hospital environment. These roles involve caring for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor fetal heart rates and assess labor progress using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
  • Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery procedures, including cesarean sections and neonatal care.
  • Provide breastfeeding support and educate new mothers on postpartum care.
  • Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and patient care standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including midwives, hospitalists, and neonatologists, to deliver optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records, including CPN and Meditech systems.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license required with at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate fetal heart monitoring within the past 2 years.
  • Valid BLS and NRP certifications required.
  • Experience with high-volume birth facilities preferred, especially those performing over 3,000 births annually.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse patient populations.
