Job Responsibilities- Provide direct care and assistance to residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) under the direction of nursing supervisors.
- Bathe, dress, and undress residents while maintaining dignity, privacy, and comfort.
- Serve and collect meal trays and assist residents with feeding as needed.
- Measure and accurately record residents' weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Monitor and document food and fluid intake and output as directed.
- Follow nursing instructions and provide safe, compassionate, and respectful resident care.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the care team.
- 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- Every other weekend is required.

- Previous experience in healthcare with at least 1 year in long-term care experience is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and move about in the work area and throughout the Home to accomplish tasks
- Express and exchange ideas via spoken word conveying information to others in an audible, accurate, and quick manner
- Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Visual acuity to read, prepare, and analyze
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force on occasions
- Subject to temperature changes, but is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside
Licensure
- Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- CPR certified
