Hourly Wage Estimate: $33.74 - $50.62 / hour

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Chippenham Hospital provides a paid, year‑long program designed to give you hands‑on experience, helping you transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, simulation, and mentorship.

• Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); document care in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and notify provider of any adverse reactions.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs proactively.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications and follow‑up; translate complex terminology for understanding.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state.
• No previous experience required.
• Some travel may be needed for training.
