Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care in Richmond, VA | Flexible Schedule

- Duration: Covering until permanent staff is hired

- License/Certs: Active Nurse Practitioner license (Virginia or eligible)
- Experience: Prior urgent care or outpatient NP experience preferred
- Hourly Rate: $150/hr
- Pay Package: Discussed upon application

- Provide urgent care services to a diverse outpatient patient population, from birth to geriatrics
- Perform diverse clinical procedures, including suturing, I&D, splinting, and minor injury stabilization
- Interpret lab results, EKGs, and X-ray images
- Manage common urgent care conditions, including lacerations, minor burns, and epistaxis
- Document all patient encounters using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure
- 2+ years of adult and pediatric urgent or outpatient care experience
- Strong clinical skills in suturing, I&D, minor injuries
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
This locum assignment is at a leading outpatient clinic in Richmond, VA, designed to provide high-quality urgent care services. Shifts span 12 hours, offering flexibility and the chance to work in a supportive environment. The clinic operates 7 days a week, and providers are needed to cover three shifts per week until a permanent provider is onboarded.
