Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care – Richmond, VA

What You’ll Do
  • Provide urgent care services including laceration repair, wound management, foreign body removal, and basic orthopedic stabilization
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including X-ray interpretation and point-of-care testing (e.g., rapid strep, influenza, COVID-19)
  • Manage epistaxis, cerumen impaction, and airway stabilization as needed
  • Document thoroughly in Epic EMR system
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care for diverse patient populations
  • Handle an average of 25–50 patients daily, adapting to patient flow
What You Need
  • Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience with urgent care procedures and minor trauma management
  • Strong clinical skills in suturing, I&D, splinting, and diagnostic testing
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy outpatient environment
