Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in . This position involves providing high-quality patient care by performing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring patient safety. The RN will supervise care staff, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to patient rehabilitation and education. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional growth.
Job Details- Schedule:
Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week - Required Qualifications:
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) certification required prior to first shift;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to first shift (applicable for CIRH only); minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience in a hospital setting; experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or critical care preferred. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the electronic medical record systems is highly valued. - Additional Information:
Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and conducts ongoing patient evaluations. Responsible for accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies. Initiates discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Participates in team building activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities post-orientation, with opportunities for professional development through continuing education.
Ensures safety protocols are followed at all times, including safe patient handling and infectious disease control.
