Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring proficiency in scrubbing complex cardiac and thoracic surgery cases.

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass and related mediastinal procedures
• Experience with thoracic surgery cases including da Vinci-assisted procedures, open thoracotomy, and VATS
• Experience initiating ECMO and performing pericardial window procedures
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required for consideration

• CVOR unit on the 4th floor of a hospital's heart center
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Unit hours of operation are
• On-call availability required when assigned, with call starting at 1500
• Weekend call rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) when assigned
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
• Perform a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement/repair, and aortic dissection repairs
• Assist with TAVR procedures
• Support thoracic surgery cases including da Vinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy
• Participate in ECMO initiation procedures
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
